I have downloaded and installed Windows Movie Maker 2.6 on my laptop running on Windows 7. It says .mpg files are supported, and indeed they seem to be. I can open several of my .mpg files to edit, but in particular when I try to open my Naruto video (.mpg) if gives me this message:
The file E:VideosNaruto Uncut Box Set 1 Disc 1.mpg cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
What do I do? I know us supports .mpg because it opens all my other .mpg files. Please someone provide a link or solution to this problem. Thanks in advance!
By the way, Naruto Uncut Box Set Volume 1 Disc 1.mpg is my actual video file, not a DVD. It’s a DVD rip stored on my External Hard Drive. Basically a backup copy.
